Hi is there any news when the editor tool-kit will be released?

Wondering the same thing. My guess is they will wait until it is Officially released on GOG.com. I almost wish that Larian had made it available to all Kickstarter backers, regardless of platform.

well Steam Workshop isn't working ... so I think the steam version doesn't have an editor yet aswell

Yes it does. I have it. It's under tools, as The Divinity Engine.

I downloaded it and it crashed. I'll try at home later - I bet it relies on the game files being present to launch.

Yes, it does rely on the game data files. You have to set up the data paths (game and editor) the first time you run it.
