I got the game today and after installing it i played it,
the game so far has crashed my system 2 times, after a short while the screen goes black and tell me there is no input detected , then only one of the power lights on my pc is on and i need to hard reboot my system to start it up again.

The game starts and all and i get to the character creation screen and the game does the above thing after like 5 minutes.

what can I do ?

If you customize quickly, or just accept the default (random) characters, and hit accept, do you have any problems once in the game?

Have you tried lowering the graphics settings and resolution, or switching to Windowed or Fake Fullscreen display mode, to see if that would make a difference?

Do you have Vsync enabled, or the frame rate cap set in the options? Try enabling, lowering or disabling those options.

Try resetting your graphics driver's 3D settings to default (right click an open area of the desktop to start the nvidia Control Panel or ATI Catalyst Control Center).

Try verifying local files, if you are using the Galaxy client: select Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition in the left column, then click on the More button, and in the Manage menu select 'Verify / Repair'.

Have you tried other, similarly demanding games recently?

Are you shutting down all non-essential programs (especially anti-virus) before starting the game?

If you check the Event Viewer, does that have an entry for the game (EoCApp.exe)? It may not, since you need to reboot, but a 'Faulting Module' file name might help identify the cause of the problem.
- click Start (or WinKey-R or WinKey-W in Win 8), then type "event viewer" into the search box. in Windows 10, 'event' should bring up 'View event logs'.
- after starting the Event Viewer, expand 'Windows Logs' in the left column and select 'Application'
- in the center column, look for a recent error (maybe sort by Date and Time) for the game
- check the information under the 'General' tab below the list of events, starting with "Faulting application name..."
