Divine Divinity had sound and music about 3 days ago but now no more. I have and acer laptop with windows 8.1 and all the bells and whistles. Something to do with Realtek audio?

Bundle: Something to do with Realtek audio?
Did you update your drivers? Something could have been reset or muted or just changed in that case. If not, you could check for new drivers.

Do you get sounds in other games, or videos/music, etc?

I assume you checked the volume settings in the game? The background music should change volume there, and a sample sound played if you change the sound effects and voice sound levels.

You can try deleting the sound.cfg file in the 'Divine Divinity' install folder (if it exists), to set the game to default (it only creates the file if you change a sound level).

A couple people with this problem in Win 7 fixed it by running the game in XP Sp3 compatibility mode.

All my other games work with sound and music but not DD. Update Drivers as in sound drivers?

Yes, though if everything else is working and DD used to work, an update (if available) isn't likely to help.

If nothing else helps, you could also try re-installing the game. Someone with the Steam version had this problem, but verifying local files fixed it.

Try restarting your computer first if you haven't already.
Reinstalled Drivers for my Realtek Audio. It stopped installing for some reason (code10) but when I started the game there was sound and music!
Question Solved. Thank you everyone!
