I bought Divinity 2 for cheap on Steam and am a good ways in, already in the Battle Tower. I found the folder with the save, will it be possible to transfer to the Developer's Cut when it comes out?

Yes. The Developer's Cut is just DKS with the Developer Mode added, so the there is no difference with the saves.
