I'm having a problem with running Divinity 2 Director's Cut, right after it plays the intro.mkv and loading.mkv it crashes, no error message no nothing, just exits to windows. I'm using Windows 8, fully patched, latest graphics drivers. Tried running in compatibility mode, with administrator setting, tried editing config file to minimise the graphic settings. And I've run out of ideas. I'll appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

If you rename the intro/loading videos, does that help, or do you just get to the crash quicker?

Changing the videos names helped :) thanks a lot!
It's strange though, those videos play normaly both after the game starts up and in media player :/ oh well at least it works now :) thanks again.

I tried all of this to no avail. The game has been working perfectly for me (Windows 7 x64) until recently. Nothing has really changed other than Windows updates and a few installs, but all of my other games work fine. I tried two games I own that are based on the Gamebryo engine (Fallout 3 and Oblivion) and they run fine too. I only have issues with this one game.

Is anyone else having problems?
