I just did Hermosa's first quest and got the Art of War book. I'm supposed to be able to use the book, but it doesn't seem to respond when I "use" it. Is this a bug, in which case how do I fix it, or am I missing a step?

You just give it to Hermosa and she will tell you to go and see Sassan to upgrade the platform.

It is 'The Demon Wars' book which gives the 3 skill points, obtained from General Kali (which Kenneth would have wanted for one of his quests, if he was chosen as the skill trainer).

The 'Ancient Journal' that Turgoyn wants (on Sentinel Island) gives +2 skill points.
