Does the survivor/statuette super speed bug still work in the GoG version?

I can't find the info online, but it was something to do with some combination of sneak/unsneak and the cat/frog statuettte giving you super speed permanently.

I don't know if it still works, but here is a description: Having speed of FROG??

That topic also includes a link to another with the location to hex edit the run speed in a file in the save folder (though it will be reset when using statuettes), as well as some instructions.
