Soooo , i recently bought DD on gog.com and when i ran it, it runs really slow.... Its working fine and stuff but the gameplay feels terribly slow... Not smooth and just slow in general... What ive tried so far is using different options in the configtool, setting affinity to a single core in windows task manager and putting compatibilty mode to windows xp sp3, ....

THEN i remembered i had a retail copy lying around somewhere... When i found that i installed it and patched it to 1.0034...When i tried this copy of the game it worked alot smoother and faster...

So i bought the divine divinity version here on GOG.com for the larger screen resolution support but it doesnt seem to work how it should.... Does any1 know a solution to make things run smoother like my original retail copy???

Thanks

What software setting? I'm having a similar issue.
In the configuration program in version 1.006 of the game you can change the rendering engine from Direct3D to Software. In the previous GOG release (1.005) that wasn't an option, but you could use the disk version configuration program to do so (download link in this topic).

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU.

I had been looking for a fix for this issue since the day I purchased DD! The whole "avatar runs like a snail" was such a let down that I couldn't really enjoy the game. Running beautifully (pun intended) now!
