Just had to put my game on hold (I have the problem where it crashes as it's loading the next scene after the video after the council of seven ritual)
I was wondering if there was a way to get notified when a patch comes out other than checking the forums periodically.

It is my understanding that GOG will post an announcement in the General Discussion and on the home page at the bottom. The lead Dev for Lorian will be off-line til Jan 4th so I expect not to hear anything until he is back.
I hope they will send an email to everyone who has purchased the game to inform us when the patch can be downloaded. I also understand that it won't be a "patch" but a complete download of the setup.exe.
Edit: BTW, have you gone to a save prior to the Council of Seven ritual and played back to the point of the crash. Sometimes the crash will not occur on a second attempt. That does not include the church or statue crashes.

Already tried several times. Seems to crash consistently at the same place.

Gotta ask, you have right clicked the game icon, clicked Properties, Compatibility, and check-marked "Run this program as an administrator" and you have the latest video drivers installed? Not much else I can suggest . . . =)

Tried it. Doesn't help.

Too bad, you are sooo close to being in the Land of the Dead. Maybe double check ATI or Nvidia to make sure you have the latest release, any other drivers like Intel . . . . hit or miss

For those who missed it in other threads - GOG.com has already been informed of the patch and after QA is over we'll have it .
So it's this month for sure. Maybe even next week.
