Hi,
i am playing Divine Divinty on OSX 10.11.6
Finder shows v2.0.0.8 for DD

I cannot save my game at all. The option in the main menu is always grayed out.
When i click on load game, there is a message telling me something along the lines of it couldn't create save directory.

Is this maybe connected to the system integrity protection of OSX 11? I would rather not turn it off just for one game.

GOG's Mac version is actually the Windows version run via Wineskin. Older versions of Wineskin do have problems with SIP. You can try updating the wrapper.

Yes, i know its actually run using Wineskin. However, i'm not familiar with Wineskin. Would updating the wrapper be something simple as replacing a file inside the package when doing show package contents on DD?

E.G.:
To do this you will need to install Wineskin Winery
Start the application and use it to download additional versions of Wine (by clicking +).
Now you should be able to right click the game's app, select Show Package Contents and run Wineskin.app.
If the Wineskin.app is not there go to Contents > Resources > game, right-click the game's app select Show Package Contents and open Wineskin.app.
In the Advanced options change the engine to the one you have downloaded."
May also need to do: Wineskin.app -> Advanced -> Tools, and do a Refresh Wrapper

Hi,

i did all of your suggestions updating the wrapper and wineskin to the latest versions including refreshing the wrapper. Unfortunately, now i am having massive graphical errors. The screen looks like whole blocks of the gfx have been randomly rearrangend.
And i am still unable to save.
I was able to save this problem by contacting support.

Solution:

The savegames are supposed to sit here:

~/library/Application Support/GOG.com/Divine Divinity/savegames/

The last two folders didn't exist, i had to create them manually. The admin password was needed to create these.
Now, saving and loading works.
