If the game is clunky (windows 10 64bit) ive changed in the options renderig from hardware to software and it is now running smooth. Maybe it will help someone.

Changing to software mode fixed the problem for me too. For anyone wondering where to find this setting, go into the games install folder, then open "configtool".
