Not sure what im doing wrong, I changed it to 1440p and now the game refuses to launch. it goes to black then CTD and says the game wasn't configured properly. Is the game simply unable to support 1440p?

Maybe the game has trouble launching at high resolutions ?
I bought it yesterday and tested it out. After I left the building at the beginning the game froze and I had to shut down my PC. Today I went looking for a fix,installed a Steam community patch,launched the game and then my loading screen (and the game itself) look the same as in this attached image. I'll try re-installing the game and run it at 800x600 resolution.

Edit : I re-installed the game just now, set the resolution to 800x600 and it ran just fine. Maybe some widescreen fix could help though personally I am just glad that now the game work without a crash/freezing. There could be a widescreen fix for this game somwhere on the internet.
