For some reason pre-rendered videos like the intro cutscene are playing incorrectly, slipping a black frame or two after every other frame of the video, resulting in a very choppy playback and flashing image. While I (luckily) do not have epilepsy and I'm generally not affected by flashing images, it's very uncomfortable to watch.
I don't know what's causing this - it could be a codec issue, a GPU issue (I'm using a laptop with dual-GPU setup, GeForce 960M + Intel HD Graphics 4600) or even an OS issue (Windows 7 64-bit).
I'm using the following settings:
Rendering system: Direct3D, Preferred display resolution: 1920x1080 (i.e. my screen's default resolution), Smoothness option: checked, Use AlphaBit option: unchecked.
The game itself runs fine so far, my only gripe is the tiny font size in 1080p.
Any solutions?

ylli96: pre-rendered videos like the intro cutscene are playing incorrectly
Do you have the same problem if you play the videos outside of the game? In the '..\Divine Divinity\static' folder, the intro and splash videos are kz.bik and larian.bik; scene1.bik and scene2.bik are cutscenes late in the game and at the end of the game.
There is a .bik video player available on the Rad Game Tools website, and some media players also support the bik videos format, such as PotPlayer: Korean homepage / English downloads:
http://potplayer.en.softonic.com
or http://download.cnet.com/Daum-PotPlayer/3000-13632_4-75587055.html

If you rename the videos, the game should skip playing them.

Did you try reducing the game resolution, or switching to Software mode?

Try editing the config.div file in the 'Divine Divinity' install folder (in Notepad, or other text editor) and add or edit the line below, to prevent the resolution switching for videos. If you add the line at the end of the file, press Enter before saving; the game expects the last line to be blank, so ignores it.
resolution switch 0

In your graphics driver settings, try switching the game to start on the integrated graphics (right click an open area of the desktop to start the nvidia Control Panel). The location varies a bit depending on the GPU and driver version, but in the options there will be a section where you can set specific application to run on either the 'high performance' GPU or 'power saving'.

You can lower the game resolution to increase the text size (and size in general), or there is a Font enlargement patch.
