Raze_Larian: If you start a new game and save under a unique name, you can find the savegames folder, and then check the parent folder to see if there is a config.div file there. In Windows, each save is a separate folder in the ..\Divine Divinity\savegames install folder.
If there is no help file, and nobody else replies, contact GOG support. Presumably the application file is a container with the game and all the Wine (or similar) files / settings to run the game on a Mac, but there should be some way to modify files within it.
humms: alright will do that first! thanks for the reply
I was logging on to note some Mac issues, and I can help w/ at least something here.
R-click on the application. Choose "Show Package Contents". In the Search window, type in "config.div" to find it easily. When you click on it, you'll get a message "There is no application set to open...". That's ok, click the "Choose Application" button and scroll down to TextEdit. That opens it, and you'll see the defaults Width 800 and Height 600. You can change those accordingly I believe and that should solve 1 problem you have. My monitor is 1680 x 1050, so I
think for me I'd make Width 1680 & Height 1050, but I haven't tried it.
My much bigger issue is the Alt key not doing what it's supposed to do. It's usually a slight annoyance, but in a quest right now to enter 2 back doors of a house w/ hostages, since I can't highlight the doors or even find them manually w/ my cursor, I can't get in. Frustrating (if I go in the front door, the hostages die).
Another major pain is that sometimes the game won't even launch. Black screen; force-quit out. Try again, can't even force-quit out. Have to hard shut down the computer. It can take a while to get into the game. When I'm in, it doesn't crash and runs pretty well, but getting in is so haphazard...
Anyway, hope this helped you.
