I played this long ago and don't remember ever having a problem with this. However in the EE I can't seem to break that barrier.

Had to look online after awhile, and its said there is a mound at the top of that hill with all the traps that has the barrier scroll next to the washtub ... first, there was no washtub there, and my character with high perception detected no mounds there. I did pick up a note from Marandino, but reading it did nothing at the barrier. And yes, prior to this I talked to the mushrooms near the cabin and passed their riddles.

I am stuck. I feel something has changed from the original to the EE here as I don't remember having any issue last time.

Question: Where is this barrier scroll?

Side Question: Where can I find the nearest bloodstone to heal the beast for the Escort Job quest?

Thanks for the reply. I thought the mushroom convo sounded like they gave it to me, but I triple checked everyone's inventory and even their skill tabs to see if I had it. I never got anything.

Maybe I will go back there and search the area if it fell on the ground or even fight them and see if it's there then.

I hope this isn't a glitch and I have to restart dammit. I only keep about 7 saves and delete all the old so I can't go back.

I have noticed while playing certain quest items stay in my inventory after the quest when they shouldn't iirc (Sam the cat, finished his quest, still have collar, the reveal spell for that cyseal quest still in my inventory), so I REALLY hope I don't have to start over.

Did you sort the main characters' inventories by latest added?

Killing both groups of mushrooms will also lower the barrier.

You were right, I had just missed it in my inventory after the plant quiz.
