I installed BD on my computer yesterday with no problems up until the point of rebooting after the installation is done. I of course clicked yes, and my computer attempted to restart, but half-way through the loading screen for Windows XP Professional, the blue screen of death popped up for a half-second and rebooted from there. If I wasn't looking at the screen at the time, I totally would have missed it. It kept getting to that half-way point, BSOD'ing, and then trying to reboot again. It did this until I used F8 to get into safe mode. It would get to the same point and then BSOD again. So I used F8 again, except this time chose "last known good configuration". That worked and let me back in, but when I tried to start DB, it said I hadn't finished rebooting, so I can't play it. It also goes on an endless reboot loop if I just turn my computer off completely and then turn it back on. So, in effect, I can no longer reboot, thus I can't play this damned game, thus, I am angry. Even after uninstalling BD, it still does the endless reboot loop.
TL;DR version: installed DB, rebooted after installation complete prompt, BSOD during reboot = endless reboot loop until infinity. Can't play because technically I haven't rebooted yet. Every time I restart or turn off/on my computer, it goes into this loop. This is the opposite of a good thing.
I'm hoping one of you has gone through or heard of this happening, or if you have a nice way of telling me that my computer is not doing too well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have installed many GOG games but none have ever asked me to re-boot. You should open a help ticket with GOG support since this seems unlikely that the game would initiate a reboot. Edit: I just installed Beyond Divinity and it did not prompt me for a reboot.
I can give you the steps to stop the automatic reboot which may allow you to trouble shoot the problem. Right click My Computer, click Properties, click the Advanced tab, in the Startup and Recovery section click Setting, on the resulting dialog under the System failure section, uncheck Automatically restart. See attached image. Let me know if this stops the automatic restart and if you can uninstall the game. Also if your AV or spybot program finds a problem.
If you are familiar with System Restore (Microsoft not the manufacturers) you might try restoring to a previous restore point. Click Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore to open the program. I would try the newest restore point prior to the game install. See attached image.
Edit: Also you might want to remove the cover and check your CPU's fan and cooling fins. A reboot can sometimes be initiated with overheating. If the fins are clogged, with the computer unplugged, blow the dust out of the CPU / cooler, Power supply, and all fans and vents. You can get a can of compressed air at BestBuy if necessary . . don't shake the can or turn the can from vertical . . .=)
