PCGamingWiki (https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Beyond_Divinity) gives instructions for dealing with slow FPS in Beyond Divinity that involves using DxWnd. However, its instructions appear to be outdated, is they didn't work for me. After a fair bit of fiddling, I've got it working on the version 2_05_72 of DxWnd and it's set up for Borderless Windowed mode so that you can Alt-Tab away.
If you're installing DxWnd for the first time, be sure to turn on Expert Mode.
After importing the configuration file, make sure to point the "Path" setting in the "Main" tab to your specific path to div.exe. Check the "Notes" tab for additional details.
