So, I liked Divine Divinity but...
Is Beyond Divinity any good?
Why or why not?

I haven't played BD yet as I'm in my second game of DD (first with the patch) so I can't really give you an opinion. I have really enjoyed DD and BD will be my next RPG after finishing DD.
Maybe some other community members will chime in . . . =)

I found BD to be a half decent game. I have never played the original divinity, which I bought here, before playing BD. I just enjoyed BD enough to want to get first title in the series.
I found out after that many gamers prefer DD to BD but to be honest I haven't played enough of the former to give you an opinion on whether or not I agree with those many gamers.
The biggest issue I found with BD was with the inventory. Somehow I could put on multiple pieces of equip. on the same doll slot without removing the original pieces. That said the version I played was the original box copy and I had to patch it to work with Vista. I cannot tell you if the GOG version has this problem resolved or not.
