I start the game just fine, create character and you know how you start in the basement? I click the ladder to go up and the character goes up with the sound and everything...and nothing happens...and nothing happens.....then I get the dialog with the healer upstairs and I finish it...and nothing happens I just get to stare at a empty basement. Cannot go back down or anything.
I run as admin, but i didn't install as admin because the consent window was literally taking almost ten minutes to pop up, so I said screw it and installed regular. Funny thing is I got out of the basement once before when testing the game..all the sudden I cant?

When you installed, did you right click the setup.exe and click "Run this as an administrator" from the resulting dialog or did you just double click the setup.exe?
I would probably uninstall and reinstall since not installing as an admin allows Vista / Win 7 to block some disk writes which keeps the game from installing fully.
Also make sure you have the latest video drivers installed. If you have the shortcut running in a Compatibility mode, uncheck that to begin with, especially in Win 7.
You may need to set your affinity to a single core, there is an easy way to to that.

You know It miraculously works now, I ran as admin, and put on compatibility mode for windows 2000 and it works haha. But your advice has been saved for future use if something else pops up. Ever thought of changing your forum title to DD God? xD
