How about an ETA for non-KS people? Makes no sense that it is available for some, but not others. Are they trying to drive people to STEAM?

Don't think they want that, they probably just want the game to come out as ready as can be. Who knows what stuff they still have to work out...
It's up to version 1.0.57 now on Steam ffs
Patch 1.0.57 is available.
And Judas just announced that the game will come out for everyone tomorrow! Yay!

wormholewizards: ...But since you guys were pushing for this release, even though not all the features are ready I guess you all have to live with it until the GOG Galaxy imminent launch.

ch36u3v4r4: Had I been warned that choosing to redeem one of my Kickstarter copies on GoG would result in me getting a feature incomplete version which remains persistently a version behind Steam I would have made the decision to redeem it on Steam instead. None of that information was available to me. Don't make me seem like a jerk for wanting to support GoG instead of Steam but still wanting to play my game with friends on Steam (no to mention not having to reinstall the game every time I patch it).
I blame GoG for being woefully unprepared for the release and Larian's frequent patches, and I blame Larian for not informing me that the game I got on GoG would not the same as the one I got on Steam, in terms of features or support.
That is common knowledge for GOG.com in general. Normally they qa patches, dlc, etc and make sure the stuff they offer is working too, but alas their infrastructure is not build to be as quick as steam. Hey, at least we have no DLCs on gog.com, which is was a new feature for them last year. :)

So yeah, you got what was to be expected. GOG Galaxy might change a lot in this regard.
When redownloading whole game:
"Checksum error on chunk 3, please contact support!"

Can anyone explain me what they were doing during Early Access and alpha and betatesting? The game was months in alpha and months in beta with many backers and other recievers of Beta keys and yet there are so many bugs they have to patch it almost daily?
I would expect it to be mostly bug-free when they used all advantages of Early Access.

I am not sure if I should continue or start anew as there were several patches while I have my save and I am not sure if everything applies to patches.

I'm also redownloading it since applying the latest patch causes crashes on quickload. The game runs great, and first load (continue) is successful, but if I load the second time it crashes.

The problem that happens not only to you is with GOG downloader. Turn it off and download one by one file, there are 4 of them. Don't download all four at the same time!

------

Vitek, there is almost no bug at all on the first big map, I've played the release version the that whole map and found only 2 bugs (you probably won't even notice those as are completely irrelevant and I'm just a nitpicker;)).
I did apply the patch IIRC 1.047 when I came in the second town and it was still good, now I put this latest one and it causes crashes so I'll get rid of it by reinstalling the game and not putting this last patch.

Feel free to continue with the game, patches don't touch savegames and your savegames are not problematic.

Have you had any trouble? Even the EA version was mostly bug-free for us, and it's been a pretty much bug-free experience for us so far since release, although we're only now starting to move beyond the content that was in the Early Access version.

I did not have bugs myself (well, thinking of it, there was one but I am not even sure it was really bug, but I spent only few hours with the game and almost stopped playing when I saw how often it gets patched) but apparently there are considering that there were about 5 patches in 9 days.
If I was deep in the game, I would probably just carry on but this way I feel like it would be better to start over (it's not too logical fear, it's just like I was missing out something because of patches).
I am not at all saying it is bug-ridden but I wonder why all those patches weren't done before the game was released as full version. If it wasn't many months on Early Access I wouldn't wonder so much but this way it does annoy me.

There were things being added and balance changes made right up until release. A few of the fixes were things that were working properly, but got broken due to a change somewhere else.
