After installing Divinity Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition, it became apparent even Nexus's special mod installer, Vortex, fails to know where to install the mods. There are a plethora of posts all giving the incorrect drive path for the game's mod folder. Then the answer was discovered by me.

Seemingly at some point Larian Studios changed the mod path from

{username}\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition\Mods\
to ...
drive:\\...\GoG Galaxy\Games\Divinity Original Sin 2\DefEd\Data\

This is being shared to hopefully help another gamer find the answer more quickly.

The path should still be in the Documents folder for the current user, for all mods distributed as pak files. There are some mods distributed as files or folders that need to be extracted into the install folder for the game, generally with specific instructions for this on the mod's page and/or in the download.

That is interesting, because the game saw zero mods when all the mods were put into the [Documents folder], for the experience of mine. When moving the mods into the [DefEd/Data folder], the game decides it can see them all.

For the response, grateful am I.
