I am pretty sure that this is a bug. Screenshot attached.

I am running definitive edition with the new combat randomizer turned on. It looks like that if I kill an enemy with the "They WIll Remember My Name" attribute then the vengeance buff is given to all characters, not just allies of the deceased enemy.

This buff should never effect my own characters: it also persists after combat is over. Please let me know if there is something else I can do to get rid of this behavior.

Thanks :)

It is indeed, and it should be fixed in the next update (no ETA yet, but it is currently being tested).
Killing and resurrecting the characters will clear the status (there are mods that can let you do that without using gold / resurrection scrolls); if you are playing on Classic difficulty or lower, dropping down to Explorer temporarily will also add a resurrection skill that can be used outside of combat.
Trying to kill opponents with the 'they will remember my name' status from a distance will help avoid this bug.

I can remove the statuses in the developer version, as well, if you email your latest save (or a Dropbox or Google drive link, etc) to supportdos2@larian.com. If you are using any non-Larian mods, also include a list of those enabled and/or the modsettings.lsx file from your profile folder.
Each save is a folder in the '..\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition\PlayerProfiles\<ProfileName>\Savegames\Story' folder.
In Windows Explorer you can zip a file or folder by right clicking on it/them and selecting 'Send To | Compressed (zipped) Folder' (and similarly in OSX/Finder).
