I decided that I wanted to save the victim's body so we need to find a fridge. Cuno said there's a fridge in the the basement of the building nearby. But I can't figure out how to get in there. I go to what looks like stairs leading down to a door but clicking on them doesn't do anything except imply that the door is locked. If there's someone to ask about a key I can't figure it out. The body is really decomposing. Any idea what I'm missing?

A hint: Cuno also tells you (to my character at least, not sure if it always happens) that you have to convince the bookstore owner to let you in the basement.
