Got a few questions regarding some unit abilities:
1) Mountain Clans: Wolf Lord.
The only thing I've been able to find out about these guys is that they suck. But I'm still curious about their attacks. The game info lists two: Water or Transform Self. What's Transform Self do to the unit?
2) Legions: Witch
Should I bother with the Witch tree at all? As far as I've tried, the enemy reverts form at about 50% of the time, making it a very unreliable crowd control when pure damage can be had.

The Wolf Lords transform self turns himself into fenrir but compared the the hermit upgrade you can take he just doesn't hold up. You will nearly always be better getting the hermit.
As for the Witch again another unit that isn't very good. You would be better off with a area of effect spell caster the cultist then a witch.
I think the Wolf Lord is an awesome idea, however the actual implentation is not good, especially since when the Wolf Lord levels up, Spirit of Fenrir doesn't - very lame (at least in The Return of Gallean, haven't tried it in Rise of the Elves).
Oh, I love myself some Succubbi, they're crafty little things. I don't get it why the chance to hit is only 40%, however I still love this unit. Once I had an army of Duke + 2 Infernal Knights + 3 Succubi. The majority of the time the enemies started the second turn as Imps / Fats Imps. ;-) Plus, Succubi have an awesome attack animation too!

As cool as imps are though if you had a row of 3 area of effect spell casters the enemy won't actually be getting that second go the majority of the time.

Oh, no argument there, I just don't like to do it in the most direct and easiest way. ;-)
