Playing Diablo is real fun, on mods, devilutionx and so on.
BUT
Why don't We play like old days? On Battle.net. Classic. Yes it's possible.
First thing is You have to open ports on Your router. Range from 6112-6119 (both UDP and TCP).
I know not everybody can handle this but it's crucial to play with others and make games to join.
Or you can try some VPN to join battle.net (not tested by me). AIR vpn have ability to open ports so far I know.
Next is to download cnc-ddraw from official github here.
And copy content to Diablo directory. You can set settings using built in configurator.
This step is important to play on modern systems like Win10/11 and Linux.
Personally I play from original CD with change IP to GOG Battle.net on latest 1.09b patch and cnc-ddraw. I use Win10.
To change IP to GOG Battle.net (connect-forever.classic.blizzard.com) You must use this little script.
And that's all.
Let's meet again on classic diablo battle.net.
(Thanks for reading. I wrote this with pure heart.)
