I'm considering getting this, but on the sole condition that I don't have to jump through a bunch of hoops to make it run in windowed mode (1200xwhatever, bordered) on my HD monitor. Is this possible?

Kentie's updated DeusEx.exe provides native support for running in a window. There's a link in the sticky. It also provides an easy way to run at your monitors' native resolution in fullscreen if you'd rather do that.
