Played through the original several times and figured I would finally try the sequel, but I get horrendous, un-playable framerates. I don't have a stellar system, but I figured it should be able to run this game. I've got all the video options at their lowest settings, with multisampling at 1, bloom off, shadows off, lights at min, and the resolution at 1024x768. Framerate averages between 8 and 15. Does anyone know of any tweaks to get it to run a little better?

Specs: HP Pavilion 9815 AMD turion 64x2 @ 2.0 Ghz, Nvidia GeForce 7150M, 4 GB RAM, running Win 7 Pro 32 bit

Dang. From your specs IW should practically scream. Maybe you're running other stuff in the background that are taking up system resources? Check for that and see what services your box might be running in the background you might be able to turn off (be CAREFUL with that, too).

Only other thing I can think of is to maybe see what they have to say at Denton's DataVault or one of the Deus Ex sites' forums.

The only thing I could think of would be the standard try to run it as administrator with compatibility for a different version of Windows like XP or Vista maybe?
