I haven't played the game since back in the days. I thought that I should revisit the game. But I recall that I REALLY disliked the timer when you have hacked a computer so you're not able to to read all the emails if you're not hasty about it. I hated it so much back then and I can't fantom that have changed. So is there any mod that that remove that bloody timer?

I recently made this exact mod myself when I couldn't find one anywhere online.
It will only work with the latest base version of Deus Ex that has not had DeusEx.u in the system folder modified.
I don't think texture packs change this, but gameplay mods do.

Upgrading your computer skill gives you more time, anyway using the GMDX mod, at master level the bar drains extremely slowly so you can read emails and such at your leisure. Moreover the mod adds a new item named "STOP! Worm Software" (taken from Human Revolution) which freezes any diagnostic attempt by the network for approximately 7 seconds, granting the user even more precious time.

Thanks for the tips! If I'll ever mod the game beyond the hacking then I'll make sure to check this out :)
