I came here just to say that the above solutions found on STEAM forums did not work for me. Though the 2nd solution probably didn't work because I'm using the fan patch "Deus Ex Visible Upgrade".

Basically the mouse cursor will only display properly in Windowed Mode. At least for my Windows 7 PC with Nvidia GT540M GPU. That's easy enough to do with the Visible Tweaker config program that comes with the fanpatch.

Windowed mode also flickers if I use the wrong resolution compared to my monitor. The resolution chosen has to be aspect ratio 16:9 for me.
