Hello, might be a stupid question but in the training level (GOTY edition) where you first find 2 lockpicks after smashing the wooden crates with the crowbar, how to you use them on the metal crate? When I select them it keeps saying "your hands are full" and won't let me use them - what am I doing wrong?

Thanks

I don't think you can lockpick any metal crate. By default left mouse button (fire button) is what you use to pick a lock, and right button is used to pick up things such as crates. But you can't pick up a crate if you're holding an item in your hands.

If you're pointing at a locked and lockpickable object, it should display the lock's strength (as a percentage). If you don't see anything like a lock strength percentage, then you're pointing at some object that cannot be lockpicked. (Some doors do show infinite lock strength, you can't pick those either)

hi Clarry, thanks for that. I was trying to open the metal crate and not the door to exit the room!
