I recall a way better configurator that is out there for this game. Can i make it work with GOG and direct x 10?

I don't see any post here about The configurator and its the best one.

Usually called the Kentie launcher, around here. There's a link right in that pic you attached to your post.

=edit= I notice I failed to answer your question: It does work with GOG and with dx10.
