Hello, i'm going to play deus ex 1 again soon and i have 2 questions i need answered before i begin:

1) I will play stealth (melee kills, hacking, etc.): Which difficulty is harder: Hard ot Realistic ? I remember there were some arguments that on Realistic u do more damage than on hard. I want the hardest difficulty

2) When they capture you and you end up in majestic12 prison: Do you keep all your inventory? Does your weapons keep all the upgrades ? I am asking because i never know: should i upgrade weapons before this part of the game or save all upgrades and upgrade after i get out of prison ?

I will keep the GMDX mod in mind for the next time i play this game !! (this way after this playthrough, i have strong motivation for another playthrough). This time i want to play the vanilla version. Why ? Because this will be the first time where i play kind of a spy melee cloak stealthy super hero. I am just finishing desperados 3 on desperado, i finished deus ex 3 and 4 without kills ... so i wanna try that on deus ex 1 too. First on vanilla. Second with mods, obviously picking all the hardest options. First i wanna see how much harder the gameplay will be in vanilla. Obviously im not using dragon sword and i will try, if possible, never, or almost never trigger an alarm. Im gonna retry each kill a few times until im just perfect with it. Thats what i do in desperados 3 now, retry it till its like something from a perfect movie.

I have another question. I am using windows 8.1 and i5 2500K. Will i have any problems using the GOTY version of GOG game ? I dont wanna use revisions, want it to be as vanilla as possible. But i would hate to see any game breaking errors and such.

Could anyone here verify that the game works ok if you use kentie launcher. with goty gog version of deus ex on newer system ? I would hate for some game breaking bug to occur mid game
