So I just did a fresh install of Descent 3 GoG. Installation ran smooth, no problems. However, when I start the game and try to scan for video devices, the scan always crashes. Since I can't setup the video, the game won't let me launch. Any help?
I'm running on Vista 32-bit with an nVIDIA Quadro 570M 256 MB card.
Edit: Ok, well...Scanning for Direct3D works and it lets me start Descent 3.exe up. However, when I hit play, the screen goes black, I here an error sound, and then it sits there. Once I press ESC or ENTER, it goes back to my desktop. I already tried closing main.exe in the task manager and running it in Window 98 compatibility mode. Any ideas?
Edit: Fixed it. Had to re-install my video drivers with a modified INF to trick my computer into thinking I have a GeForce 8600M GT. Everything works perfectly now!
