Vertigo had some new tracks and remixed D2 tracks I think. Actually, I think they were all new tracks if they haven't changed the tracks for original D2 on the Definite Descent Collection, since there are no repeated tracks on the Descent 2 and Vertigo CD's in that release.
If neither Vertigo nor The Levels of the World are included in the GOG version, I'm glad I didn't buy them when they were on sale a couple of weeks ago, as I already own the Definite Collection, which includes both.
I was rather interested in what the Descent 1 soundtrack bonus content for the GOG version would be though, Descent 1 only had MIDI music in the Definite Collection version. Is the music from the PSX version of Descent 1 then?
You can get Vertigo at PlanetDescent.net.

Even if that is legal (I don't know what the status of Vertigo is), it's still missing the awesome music.
The Vertigo disc had new CD music tracks which were not on the original Descent 2 disc.

EvaUnit02: Could GoG.com please update their release of Descent 2 to include the "Vertigo Series" expansion?
Thanks in advance.

Totally agreed!!!!
I researched this problem and due to legal reasons we cannot get the "Vertigo Series" expansion.

We're sorry.

Wow, that's sad. You can sell both D1 and D2 and D3 but you can't sell an expansion? Weird. Interplay has always been stupid in that way.
Vertigo Series is more fun than Descent II I've played.

If you really want it, check it out on Amazon.com:

Is that to say that GOG will NEVER get the Vertigo expansion or that GOG just can't get it right now?

Thanks for the update though. I like knowing where we stand.
I have Levels of the World and Vertigo on CD. Can I install them with the gog version of the game?
What is the reason? I'm just curious who it is we should be talking to to try to get that resolved. The community could actually help out with this stuff.
Just a note to anyone who missed -- the previous page in this thread has a direct (free) download link for the Vertigo Series. Not sure if legal...

And here y'all are as well! ;)
