Once upon a time, I owned a copy of Descent 1 for the PC, and found that the mouse tracking was really bad under Windows 98 and 2000- it always seemed to be very low-sensitivitiy. Does this issue exist in the version of the game available for download here?

It's the same, however if you run D1X-Rebirth it seems to help a whole lot. I play using a PS2 controller with Halo-esque dual analog controls and it's still a little on the low side though I think that's just how the game was made. Remember, this was before Quake 1. Nobody knew FPSes were going to need super high sensitivity mouse look at the time.
