I just got a Microsoft Force Feedback 2 and I want to use it with Descent 1. It's the first joystick I've ever owned. What's the best control configuration for it?

Download a source port, DXX-Rebirth, in this matter, and you should be able to assign any function to the joystick from the game menu itself. Provided, of course, that your joystick drivers are working.
