My color on the game is messed up. For instance, the menus have color glitches all over words, so its hard to read, and the sights for the ship are also screwed up. Also i have laggy gameplay some times, as well as crappy sound.
Is there any patch for the game that fixes these problems?

What OS are you using ?
Have you tried both OpenGL and D3d modes ?
Press F1 during gameplay to bring up a menu with extra options including graphics options. Maybe try to change the color depth...
You could also try to add the command-line parameter "-nomultitexture" to the game's shortcut to fix those graphical glitches.

I'm using windows. xp, sp3. where do i find the OpenGl or D3d modes?

Hang on, i just re-read your post and you mention D3 rebirth. Is that right ?
Is this related to D3 or D2 with one of the rebirth mods/ports ?
If it's related to D2, you'll have a Graphic Mode Setup tool in your D2 start menu folder...

yeah its D3 Rebirth. ...i cant find the setup tool in the folder, its not there.. I might send GOG a email.. i paid for the game the least they can do is send me one that works properly.

If it's D3 then there's no setup tool. The setup tool is for D1 and D2.
I'm still unclear as to what you mean by Descent 3 Rebirth. I'm not aware of a rebirth mod/port for D3. Are you saying there's one ?
In any case, you can always send a mail to support explaining your problem. Make sure you provide a DxDiag and a description of the issue.

There is no D3 rebirth. You're mixing up the versions (or at least what you're calling it). Can you link us to the page for the GOG version you're having trouble with?
And the only support you're going to get from GOG is for the one they have control over - the stock installer. If you want support for DXX rebirth, you have to talk to the DXX rebirth people...
