This was the first real shooter that I ever played on the PC. That game amazed me in every way back in 1994, where 3D graphics were completely unheard of. The entire concept, the level design, the sounds and music; all was incredibly satisfying, and with 30 massive levels of entertainment, this game lasted me for quite some time. Although I never had a chance to experience the epic eight player online battles, the user-created maps kept me going. D2 was even better, by adding new gameplay elements, better graphics, and absolutely bizarre weapons, enemies, and levels, D1 & 2 made Interplay my favorite publisher, which was further enhanced with Black Isle's Fallout in '97.
