I recently installed DL2. There is an issue with resolution playing DL2. Unlike DL1, DL2 plays full screen. During the game, I noticed the game stretched beyond my monitor screen. It looks like there are no options to go into and tinker. So I believe I will have to tinker a file in DL2 folder? Is there a way to play DL2 full-screen windowed?

Edit: still no replies :( I am hoping someone would instruct me how to run the game in Windowed screen?

I spent some time looking around google. I read that you could add in codes at end of Target inside properties of a shortcut file. I tried various codes and -w is the only one that worked. However, the problem ended up is that it is too small and has some sort of graphical glitch. For example, your mouse icon, 1 second later, mouse icon leaves a box of graphical glitch. I moved my mouse to a different place, and there will be a new graphical glitch at that spot a second later. (and they all stay until I do something in the game)

Now, with the issue being a small windowed screen. I tried resolution such as -width 1280 -height 1040 but it does not recognize width command (and likely height as well if I remove width). I also tried -r1280x1040x16(or 32?) and it does not recognize that as well. I also tried putting in -CustomResolution:enabled, it also does not recognize.

Is there a list of commands this particular game know? The last shred of my searching on internet said something about resolution being imbedded in the EXE file and there was a mention of....hex editor. This is where I stopped.

So anyone have any ideas here? -w is the only command in Target that worked... :(
Unfortunately I don't think there's a positive answer to this. DL2 has a fixed-size UI, which means your resolution options are limited. I've never had luck trying to improve the resolution, at least, and I don't think I've ever seen anyone else say they fixed it either.

DL2 is a strange duck. It's got some real improvements over DL1, but it also has some bizarre changes for no good reason.

If you turn up a better answer, please share it here.
