nyarymowich: I bought this off of Steam this summer, I had a fun time with it and it plays well with a mouse. I personally think it plays a little like GTA in space as opposed to a more hardcore game like X3.
It does have it downsides, the missions do get repetitive after a while and the handful of surface/base missions aren't all that great.
However I do have to add that while DS1 is a good game it's not an old game. I was kind of hoping we would see more 90s or even 80s games in GOG as opposed to the same stuff we see on every other direct download service.
well, considering its coinciding with simon the sorcerer 2, I think its safe to say there's a mix of both, which I'm all for. Restricting yourself to a specific time period is pointless... I say any game a few years old is fair game.
I'll probably give this a try at some point, I've heard about it before but never played it. I'm a big space sim fan, but I've heard mixed reviews about it which is why I hadn't picked it up before
