I downloaded the update for the game and noticed it installed GOG galaxy on my computer. I uninstalled gog galaxy and it resulted in me me not being able to play the game any longer. Why is this?

You have to install the stand-alone version. Now by default when you download some programs it is set on 'GOG Galaxy', you have to click on the 'More' button and select 'Classic Installers' to have access to the standard version.

I thought that Galaxy is not required to actually run any Galaxy version of any game. Interesting, thank you, one more reason to hate it.

Hey I just purchased the game and I have the same issue, accept when I hit the "more" button there is no "classic installers" option, it just launches the client every time, is there a way around this?

Can you show the screenshot of your "more" button? I have "classic installers" option below "GOG downloader links".

It's o.k I've solved it, it just took a while to find the app extension in the file location, I was searching the shortcut before which was opening it through the client.

Galaxy isn't required to play the game, you just have to click "more" and use a different installer. Galaxy is great, it's a shame GOG has to deal with the minority of people like you who are alway slooking for a reason to complain about everything.

Well He is right. The reason I am buying @ gog is that is tis DRM free and has standalone installers. If they abondon that i can return to steam.
