I haven't played Dark Reign 2 yet (although it is on my shelf).
But every time I flip through the pictures posted on the GOG game page for it, the "look" always reminds me of Anarchy Online (AO).
The textures and the building shapes, and those "force field beams" are, to me, very reminiscent of AO. AO was for years a favorite MMO I played. I still have very fond memories of it. So I enjoy looking over Dark Reign 2's pictures. :)
