I have been trying to play the first game and to be honest I have been getting very lost. The lack of reminders etc is throwing me off. I am assuming the first game is suppose to be accompanied with a pen & paper. :P

Is the other two the same?
The third one gets admittedly easy, but, yes, Dark Fall: Lights Out is a very hardcore old-school adventure game, in the veins of The Journal, and you will require pen and paper or at least a good walkthrough, as there are no hints, no reminders, no major clues, and the puzzles and overall sense of direction and purpose can get devious at times (this is prone to happen even in Lost Souls, albeit to a less degree).

I should say, though, that as soon as you get into these kind of games, it gets easier and more natural. Try playing through the first one using only a pen and paper, taking your own notes and coming to your own conclusions.

Thank you. Sound advice. Any other hints you can give?
