udienowplz: From memory, the only censoring Australia has done was banning Hotline Miami 2 (which, infuriatingly, IGDA supported its ban). I don't think Australia censors much these days but as RyonDK put it, you never know.
SolMeggido: Sans Row 3 as well. Mostly the games board or whatever are a bunch of idiots who treat people as if they're children.
either that or they only do things occasionally to justify their existence.
Wow, SR3? Seriously? And I totally agree with the "justify their existence" point. I would cede that there needs to be some classification system so that people in general know what they're buying. You could say that it could be privatised to the developers; but you have to wonder how to decide what classifies as what. For example, you might be able to see a drop of blood in a very pivotal part in a PG movie; but in a game, if you're the one drawing the blood, does that change the message and thus the classification? The very unfortunate facet of this issue is that we're trying to understand a system that analyses very abstract and very context-sensitive content. Which paves a lot of room for twisting a narrative and elaborating on a piece to serve an agenda.
