I finally got a graphics card for my PC to play Cyberpunk on, had PC physical since release but needed to get PC upgraded. I got a Nvidia GeForce 1660 Ti 6GB GDDR6. Windows 10 Pro, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD Intel Core i7.
I came from playing Cyberpunk on my base 2014 PS4 with a 1TB SSD and it runs fine on there. On PC I can play the game fine and runs fine, but when I try to load up any save quick/Manual a black screen comes on and if loading from menu, then the menu music just plays but no loading screen. I am actually still loading a save right now with music playing and it been over 20min now. Have too manually close game in task manger. For me to play I have to start a new game and character every time I want to play CP on PC and it is a waste as I cannot load that character again if I die and get off game.

I have no mods installed and running off GOG Galaxy with Ver.6.1 for CP. All cloud saving and such I have unchecked.
I did uninstall the game 3 times and reinstall. So I had to redownload 70GB worth of data each time. I was hoping to use mods on PC since I couldn't on PS4 but I guess this isn't going to work until I get a fix.

After a clean reinstall and startup, made a new character and did a save. exit and restart. Tried to load that save and same thing happened. Black screen on clicking load save and just music playing from menu.

Have you tried running the game locally?

Close GoG Galaxy (all game clients suck anyway), go to your Cyberpunk 2077 install location and find the game .exe.

[X]:\GoG\Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64
Cyberpunk2077.exe is in the x64 folder.

Run that directly and see whether that changes anything.

I tried loading a save and nothing. I even made another new character under corpo this time and did a manual save and tried to load it and still black screen when click on load. I went under the exe and ran without gog and ran as admin.
Unless I download Cyberpunk manually without gog installing it.

I have Windows 10 Pro 22H2 installed.

The issue is that you get a black screen when loading a save?

If the game opens normally, go to graphics settings and try setting the game to windowed mode.
A black screen in any game is often a graphics driver issue, but can sometimes be bypassed by running the game in windowed mode.

Also, what sort of drive is your game install on? A harddrive or an SSD?
For modern games, having them installed on a separate SSD (i.e. not installed on the C:\ drive) is preferred.

I have it set to windowed mode as it said to do that on google search and I have a 1TB SSD. Everything works on the game except loading. And it says I have the latest Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti drivers.
This is such a weird issue. For all I've done to my CP77 install, with more mods than I can count, I have never seen this issue with this game.

Other than suggesting an older graphics driver install, doing a CLEAN install (checkmark during the Nvidia installer) and de-selecting everything you don't need, like Geforce Experience, and going back to the 1.6 version of the game, I'm starting to go out of options here.

Have you set the HDD mode to Off in the settings?

Also, as a test, have you tried setting the graphics settings to lowest and set a game resolution much lower than your screen resolution?

A black screen definitely is a graphics issue, and if you don't see it anywhere else or in other games, then something is up between CP77 and your GPU. You want to give your GPU an as easy time as possible when loading in all the game objects. It could also simply run out of VRAM, though 6 GB should be sufficient.

I just moved onto my ThinkCentre M920 MT machine that is running Windows 11 Pro, 8th Gen Core i7, 2TB HDD and a single 8GB RAM stick. Moved my saves folder to it and installed Cyberpunk onto it and it loads the saves and everything fine. And I installed the same graphics card from the other machine into this one as it didn't have a GPU. Not sure if it was windows 10 or not. I even did a clean wipe again of cyberpunk and installed the offline installer and still got the same problem. So I guess my office machine will be the gaming PC. Just need to get more RAM.

Did you try doing a clean GPU driver install before moving over?
Shouldn't be Windows 10, as such. The vast majority of CP77 players got Windows 10, including myself.

And I have not had any issues with black screens in games that wasn't GPU driver related. Or of my own doing, as almost all the games I have installed is modified in some way, whether with mods, custom skins or scripts.

Hope you got the issue fixed at least. Cyberpunk 2077 still got several flaws, but it's still great fun and looks absolutely gorgeous!
Well After playing for a while when I can. I got to the point where You go meet Jackie to head into the Afterlife to go meet Dex. You get questions to ask Jackie after he gets off the phone with his mom. After I select a option, he will reply, but the game just freezes as he is talking. (Freezes every time at that part) After about 10min if let the game alone it kicks me out to the desktop with Cyberpunk has Flatlined. Not sure if it is because windows 11 did an update or not. But game was playing fine until then. Even after restarts and running just the Cyberpunk.exe as Admin under bin folder still freezes at that part. Luckly I Hard saved as I entered the Afterlife parking lot. Roleplaying as Raiden from MGS2/Rising. Well with what I can do in looks on here. So far that only good thing is I can cloud save my save back to PS4 if want but then I'll lose the better visual graphics. The sad part is I only had my PS4 "Original release model" crash once with Cyberpunk and that was when still using the HDD, but now has a SSD.

That is the other problem I am running into on this game as You CANNOT name your character or a save. And I have around 6 characters. It gets really confusing what character is what other then what branch your started of Nomad,Street,Corp. Other games such as Fallout 4 you can name your character. But also, in FO4 it kept that character saves in a single save folder from the rest of the other character saves so not to confuse saves. I did lose a beaten game save character by accidently saving over it with another save.

Also, will this game still run on Windows 7 Pro 64bit? I literally have all my PC games running under windows 7 and it is still a solid OS and machine that is running it. I would just have to move my GPU back into it. But it still runs new games fine such as RE8 and GTAV/RDR2. CP will probably be the newest game I'll play for a while so as I don't get much time to play games as it is. Will probably get the CP DLC when release. But it seems 1.7 might be the final patch. I am not a huge fan of Windows 10 or even 11. I thought of going to Linux but not sure if all games and software / controllers will work on it. If anything I still would like to just have Windows 7 be my PC game machine. I know Cyberpunk system Req was Windows 7 x64 but not sure with the latest patch 1.6 if it still will run.

(Other bugs I ran into were T posing during Jackie introduction during that cutscene before The Rescue mission. Evelyn Sit walking during first meet before BD) Just some bugs I ran into on PC coming from PS4 where I didn't.

(Just an update. I tried to ignore Jackie at the entrance of the Afterlife, and the bouncer downstairs will not let you pass without talking to Jackie. I had the PC off for a while and turned back on. So tried talking to him again and it froze during him talking. So not sure if it is glitched or what. I might try playing save on PS4 and check)
(Just reverted back a system install and it works fine now. not sure what was wrong.)

When I try to start the game up it Flatlines right at start now. No mods, Manual install of V1.6. Windows 11 Pro, GeForce 1660 Ti GDDR6 6GB. 16GB RAM.
