I want to purchase the game. I recently discovered that the game is also available for pre purchase at local online game shop. It says on the page of said local game distributor that game will be digital GOG code. So, I was wondering if I will also get the GOG only bonus content with that or I will have to purchase it directly from GOG store to get the bonus content.

It is benificial for me to buy from local store as It is a bit cheaper and also I don't have to pay currency conversion rate.

I have never added a game on GOG by redeeming a key, at least not as far as I can remember.

That being said, I can't really imagine that it makes any difference how you get the game added to your library. Whether you're buying the game directly or having it added via key code redemption, the game is added to your library.

Once a game is in your library, I imagine all goodies are added with it. I've never heard about GOG having different versions of games, depending on how you get it. They don't do censorship variants, so why would they do goodies variants?

As far as I've understood it, getting the physical edition gives you a GOG code that is equivalent in everything to the digital purchase version you can get on this site; on top of that you have anything that is included in the physical release. You can add the code to your GOG library through the website (<Profile Name> -> Redeem code) or Galaxy (Gear icon -> add games & friends -> Redeem GOG code).

I hope this helps and clarifies your doubts.

When I bought the Witcher 3 retail edition the GOG code worked as if I'd bought it online and had the same extras/downloads.

I'd expect Cyberpunk 2077 would be the same.
Thanks everyone for answering and clearing my doubt. It really helped me out.

I can now go ahead with my purchase.
