One year later and still a Night Shitty.
Less dildos and tranny propaganda, more delivery on what you promised for years.

No matter how many Animes you throw at us CDPR, we are still waiting.

Just like Bethesda with Fallout 76, and Hello Games with No Man's Sky, and Star Citizen....uuuuuuuuh, i'm sensing a pattern and no established Law to prevent it...

And before you fanboys and girls come all stressed about, there is ample video proof of what they promised and never delivered. Then came all shady about in the release to cover the mess and profit some before this one blew in their faces.

It should be a crime with the CEO being sent to prison, every senior employee fired and the company severely fined along with those same employees banned form ever working in the same industry ever again.

Or simply prevent CDPR from operating outside of Poland.

There should be severe consequences for CDPR's blatant lies and I only wish the worst for every person involved in the dishonesty of this game. Absolutely despicable and shameful.

As long as there's no consequence to the actions of CDPR (and other similar publishers and dev teams) then they'll continue deceiving people while still making money from their lies. Why would they bother putting in actual work and effort if people will buy the product anyway (as well as defend it!) and nothing can be done to punish these despicable bastards. This is the path CDPR chose and it won't be forgotten.

Scum.

Lol no, they most certainly did deliver. People just had unrealistic (and ignorant) expectations based off of a complete misinterpretation of marketing materials.

Most people are all good with the game now. Everything I'm reading on this thread appears to be mere personal problems.

No man. They advertised things that never made to the final game and that is lying, for busines language it is called con.
Then made reviewer use b footage only, to hide the mess we were to find out.
A year later the game still lacks features promised and they are still spending money everywhere else but what they underdelivered.
A YEAR LATER IN A AAA COMPANY IN A AAA GAME.
If you don't see a problem here, and a bad precedent, you're just playing blind.

Oh by the way....109 pages of "personal problems"? Yup you're in denial.

Incorrect. Yes, there was cut content. Every game has that, though, so by your logic, EVERY dev is lying.

They sold the game on the premise of the promised content that people only found out it was cut, after they bought it. No matter how you twist the truth it is still there to see. Incorrect...not every game has that , that is why there are not that many lawsuits against developers.

But then again, 109 pages of "personal problems" represents who's argument , between us , is valid.

Once again, incorrect. The core of the experience was still there. Certain features (such as vehicle combat, for example) were cut because they had to meet a deadline to satisfy their investors.

Definitely personal problems, because if you look at what was promised and what was delivered, it's clear that the majority of material was delivered upon. Some features were cut but, again, that ALWAYS happens and it's unavoidable.

I never said the core experience isn't there, it is there but lacks parts of the advertised whole and it is still unstable.
Deadline??? This only happen because there isn't any law that punishes developers for false advertise, when it comes this will be a 180. There are developers who can deliver but CDPR, a AAA developer who is expanding to the USA, can't?
Aaaaaaah,,,,,sure. The truth is they tricked us into fund their expanding projects, by selling us a Demo fullprice, and now they are thinking going fullon to make a complete cyberpunk.
So let me get this straight...you think it is normal a person says to you " this is what i'll sell to you once it's ready"...you pay full price in advance...then, in release date, you get 3/4 of the product that you payed and a buggy clusterfuck that takes one year to become somewhat stable but still isn't?
Now you see them make huge investments and expand their company, showing clear signs of massive profits, all at the cost of one of the biggest cons in gaming history, and that is ok to you?
So if you have hundreds of youtubers showing you and proving to you that you were conned, you think it is normal?
If you have 109 pages of 90 % bad reviews due to performance issues and lack of content that made the buyers buy the game in the first place, that's ok to you?
Well either you are an employe of CDPR , family of one of them or simply just in denial.
You can't beat logic, reason or truth by simply prentending they aren't there.
You can become a brick wall of compromise, but that only makes you look bad.
I'm not against CDPR, GOG or Cyberpunk...I AM against corporations fooling the population and playing with them.
The final word comes from the consumer and gamers usually don't forget...
For me case closed.

There was no false advertising. Games will never release in a perfect, bug-free state. Games will never be able to release without cutting some planned content. Furthermore, games must release according to what the company shareholders desire. CD Projekt Red is a public company. While the founders still hold the majority (meaning they have the final say), they have to appease their investors. People were canceling preorders left and right when CDPR kept delaying the game. The investors wanted the game out by Christmas, ergo they had to do that. The unfortunate side effect was that we got more bugs and cut content than we could have had.

It's business. Good luck finding ANY company that wouldn't do exactly what CDPR did. Furthermore, good luck finding another company that'd stick to their guns and keep improving the game after release the way CDPR did. The only real time that such a turnaround has happened before was Hello Games with No Man's Sky. Maybe Bethesda's work with Fallout 76, though its turnaround wasn't QUITE as dramatic.

Point is, it's clear you don't understand how this sort of thing works. Is it ideal? Of course not. However, it IS reality. It's just the way things are done. Be glad CDPR actually stuck with the game as long as they have because, with the rough launch and all the ridiculous hate (including literal death threats AND a ransomware attack leaking much of the company's source code), they could have thrown their hands in the air and said "screw it". Instead, they stuck with it, fixed the game's issues and improved it upon player feedback. It was relentless. Maybe not as relentless as Hello Games (who are still delivering 100% free expansions six years later) but relentless nonetheless. It says a lot about CDPR's character and morals but people like you are too blinded by petty personal vendettas to see that.
I wasn't even interested in the game, or the cyberpunk universe in general. Last year I played it for about 250 hours (versions 1.2 & 1.3, I think), and found it to be great, especially for someone who likes open-world games. I didn't finish the main quest line (probably done like a third of it), just had fun doing side quests, gigs, exploring the city, leveling up, that kind of stuff.

For me, the biggest disappointment was the police system, of course. The lack of a flashlight, the inability to sell some of the obsolete cyberware, or proper info on how (or if) some of the skills work, were also a bit of letdowns. But, other than visual glitches (which I can live with), I encountered very few bugs. Had less than 10 crashes, and a few of those were when starting the game, so nothing was lost. I was actually surprised how stable the game ran, often doing long sessions of 4-6 hours.

Now I just wait for the GOTY version to be done, and then I'll start from scratch, knowing the experience will be even better. Other than that, I guess, haters gonna hate, as usual.

Sure, because it's really fun to buy a new car expecting it to come new and complete, and instead you get a whobly steering wheel and only three wheels instead of four...you go to the seller to complaint and the seller says " whoopsi my bad, well maybe we can get you the missing parts and fix your steering wheel...maybe somewhere in the future"
Along with that, a shit load of people in denial, fanboys and sellouts who are in terminal denial because they refuse to admit their wrong, that they were tricked into buy something that they expected but in the end wasn't half of the bargain.
Fanboy in the text above says there was no false advertisement...jeez talk about denial...well i guess we are in the age where people just change the definitions of things , to fit their own need...i guess saying the game is going to include something to make you buy it and in the end the game doesn't include many of the advertised features, is not false advertisement...i think now it is just call "hyping".

I'm not even mad for the state of the game, i'm pissed off because now it's clear CDPR sold it's soul, by tricking its fanbase into kickstart their expanse.
But i'm not expecting you to understand that by the substance of your answers.
One day you'll wake up, and just like the G Man said " Wake up and smell the ashes".
I don't love to hate, but i sure do fight back.
Welcome to the real world.

Now we are comparing a car, which costs tens of thousands of dollars, with a $60 game, which you can even refund? Sure, I guess. Everyone has their own priorities.

You can sell old Cyberware now, that feature has been implemented. As for a flashlight, there is a mod for that.

The NCPD system still leaves a lot to be desired though. And there's still visual glitches galore.

Oh so it's the price that determines if you have the right to feel conned or not?
And that's why people get what they deserve from this Corps.
You legally can refund everything.
It's the principle of being lied to by a trusted developer.
Hey man , this is a healthy discussion so here's my point of view...
