Hey,

i'm having a problem.

I'm getting a crash everytime i hop into the game and well... i have no further clue what to do. I've updated everything, tried it on every on my harddrives i have. Windows is up to date, nvidia drivers as well.

i've got a 2080super and a Ryzen 3800x - so it shouldn't be the AVX issue.

Here is my Report:

Okay, disabling cloud saves changed the error to:

Gpu Crash for unknown reasons! Callstack here is probably irrelevant. Check if Breadcrumbs or Aftermath logged anything useful.

I'm experiencing a very similar issue (mine crashes a little sooner in the stack at the nvidia jit compiler module) after playing 80+ hours with zero problems.

Specifically, when I load a save, any save (continue, autosave, manual save) the game crashes just as it's done loading the save and about to start rendering player viewpoint. This has nothing to do with save file save (all my saves are under 5MB, most just over 4MB). I'm running 2080 Ti and i9 9980XE with 64GB ram... so it's not insufficient hardware or AMD issue either.

Given that the game is crashing with the nvidia driver at the bottom of the stack, it might imply that it is a hardware issue (or at least a driver issue). However; DxDiag finds nothing wrong, all OS / drivers are up to date (clean installed), other demanding games such as Doom Eternal and Witcher 3 run without problems, etc.

The game started acting dodgy for the first time after the 1.05 update. Seemingly minor oddities at first such as being unable to invoke dialogue with tasked NPCs ("!" over their heads), taking damage / knocked down in the street when there are no vehicles around, and more frequent pantless joyrides. The inital crash happened during one of the final boss battles (Smasher), and I haven't been able to load any saves since.

I have a long list of things I've tried (including disabling cloud saves, which changed nothing).

Given that there seems to be a plethora of crash bugs, seemingly related to save files (which this one may not be at all), it's important to start breaking them down into their distinctions so they're not overlooked in (hopefully) upcoming patches.

I'm going to give aftermath a shot, but obviously without any debug info, it's not likely going to tell me much.

We just have to wait till the devs fix it.

Asside from the obvious advice floating around, like update graphics drivers.... I have found that playing in the areas out in the burbs causes the game to run a lot longer then if I'm in the downtown area.

In the later area it tends to crash WAAAAAAAY more often.
