Hello.

Lately, I've noticed that, for no apparent reason and without warning, my V sometimes moves through Night City extremely slowly when exploring.

It has been happening especially after I see a warning that I'm carrying too many items in my backpack. Motions that should be available, such as sprinting, jumping, etc., don't work. During the slow exploration, I haven't attempted to do other things like drive or engage in combat, so I don't know if those activities would also be impacted.

I play the game on my PC via the GOG Galaxy platform. I've tried restarting the game, restarting the GOG platform, using the keyboard rather than the Xbox controller as I normally do, all to no avail. For a while this problem disappeared and the exploring Night City was no longer an issue. But, now the slowness has returned.

Who else has had this issue? How can it be solved?

You are carrying too many Objects, sell or dismantle some, that is why you are slow and can't run.

Your first RPG :) ?
You can carry up to a certain amount of items before you become essentially overburdened, and have reduced movability as a result. You can see this number displayed on your upper-right in your character screen.

All weapons and clothing has a weight number, counting towards your carry value. This value can get increased through certain perks in the Body stat tree, or be temporarily increased with a Capacity Booster consumable.

You will need to either sell, dismantle, stash (in your apartment or vehicle) or drop some item from your backpack to get below this number.

Combat wil also be affected, as you will still be moving slower. But melee combat (stamina) and weapon accuracy is not affected that I know of. Driving or using Fast Travel points is not affected.

Surprised it took you this long to encounter this game mechanic. :)

Thanks. Boy that's an annoying situation when it happens. I mean, a snail could move faster, haha.

Yeah, I don't really game that much. I'll have to keep the item limit in mind before going into combat for sure.
