Hi all, issue is just as it sounds, simply the game will not launch. I'll list my specs below - well above whats needed to run it.

To give a little more depth, in version 1.31 and 1.3avx and 1.3 i get the error "r6 release devsrccommongpuapisrcdx12gpuapidx12error cpp (41)" and a black screen for some 2 - 7 seconds before the crash.

and for all version below 1.3 i get "r6 release\dev\src\common\gpuapi\src\dx12\gpuapidx12error.cpp(40)" and a splash screen and sound of the CD project red logo for 2 - 4 seconds and then crash.

There is nothing in the crash reports to note other than the above errors.

Game ran (BIG 69's for this word) "*FINE*" some 10 months ago, and i attempted to play since 3 months ago and it no go.

Specs:

2080Ti
i9 10900kf
z490e asus mobo
32GB ddr4 dominator platinum ram.
Several SSD's
Win 10 pro latest build.

What i've tried so far:

The obvious, GPU, mobo/chipset drivers of all kinds up to date and from 10 months ago.
Installed latest 1.31 version
downgraded to all different version available to downgrade to (1.31 - 1.22)
verified install of ALL versions of the game available to download including 1.31
attempted to launch in clean boot mode for all versions.
did the Intel 10th gen "fix"
disabled full screen optimization in the properties for the .exe
enabled to run as admin
disabled all external "hooks" / overlays
is enabled by default to be allowed through windows firewall.
deleted and re-installed MS visual C++ each and EVERY time i got a new version.
bought the game on STEAM! and still have the same issue.
deleted my bin folder and verified. deleted everything except the archive folder and verified.
downloaded RAD tools for .bik videos because you never know.
for every version type i changed the language to polish/polski and downloaded the 4 odd GB's of translation. each and every time i got a new version.
AND after that not working i changed the language back to english which also... didn't work.
disabling hyper threading.
i don't use overclocks, but instead tried "under" clocking.
enabling XMP for the RAM
Running the .exe in different windows compatibility modes. (windows vista - win 8)
Deleting the Red Engine and CD project red folders in my %appdata% local folder
Using cleanmgr/ disk clean up and remove Dx shader cache.

what's worked?:

Other than getting a logo for 2 seconds using patch 1.23, nothing has worked or even showed a SLIGHT improvement.

becasue someone will ask for it, this is the crash file info, not that it'll help:

Issue: I am getting assertion error: File: "e:\r6.release\dev\src\common\gpuapi\src\dx12\gpuapidx12error.cpp(41)"
Fix: There are several possible fixes.
#1. Press Win + R to start the Run command and enter "cleanmgr.exe", then select the drive on which Cyberpunk 2077 is installed and make sure to check the box for DirectX shader cache and let it run.
#2. Delete the CD Projekt RED folder and RED Engine folder in %userprofile%\AppData\Local\
No guarantee that it'll work but I had an issue with the game not launching and GOG support helped me figure out what the trouble was.
Deleting the settings file and cache might get your game running (they're in \Users\username\AppData\Local\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077); but figuring out which particular setting will irk the game is hit and miss.

Here's hoping 1.4 will finally fix all of the graphics issues.

ArasakaApart: Press Win + R to start the Run command and enter "cleanmgr.exe",
Or open the Windows start menu/Cortana and type "Disk Clean-Up". That opens the same thing.
Will add to main post

UPDATE: Deleting the CD project red folder and RED Engine folder didn't work. I gained an extra 500ms (half a second) of logo time though.... so that's nice.

Disk Clean Up/ cleanmgr didn't do anything either.

IDK i just installed it and CTD When i tried to launch, i check steam's technical support saw a post saying to remove plugins folder from \Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64 but there was no folder so I added the folder and It starter. Too mad to actually play it now
